Qiang Zhang ( is a machine learning scientist and BHF CRE Intermediate Fellow at the RDM Division of Cardiovascular Medicine. Working with clinicians and MR scientists on a day-to-day basis, he actively bridges the gap between machine learning and clinical applications. With an in-depth understanding of cardiovascular disease mechanisms and clinical MR scan protocols, he aims to develop deep learning solutions for unmet clinical needs, and translate AI technologies from bench to bedside. His recent research focus has been on AI contrast enhancement of MRI for faster, safer and more informative heart imaging.
