Thomas Nichols is Director of the EPSRC CDT in Healthcare Data Science, a Professor of Neuroimaging Statistics within the Nuffield Department of Population Health, and a group leader within the BDI. He has a unique background, with both industrial and academic experience, and diverse training including computer science, cognitive neuroscience and statistics. The focus of Tom’s work is developing modelling and inference methods for brain image data. |

Jim Davies is a Professor of Software Engineering within the Department of Computer Science, and the Director of the EPSRC CDT in Health Data Science. He is leading the development of data standards and infrastructure for clinical and laboratory data across a network of NIHR Biomedical Research Centres (BRCs), as part of the NIHR Health Informatics Collaborative. He is also the Lead Data Scientist for the National Consortium for Intelligent Medical Imaging, funded by Innovate UK. |

Jens Rittscher is a Professor of Engineering Science in the Department of Engineering Science and the Nuffield Department of Medicine, and a group leader within the BDI. His research interests lie in enabling biomedical imaging through the development of new analysis algorithms and novel computational platforms, with a current focus to improve mechanistic understanding of cancer and patient care through quantitative analysis of image data. |

Katrina Lythgoe is a co-Director of the CDT. She is an Associate Professor in Infectious Disease in the Department of Biology and a Group Leader in the BDI. She is a world leader in the evolutionary genetics of viral infections and is currently the genomics lead of the Office of National Statistics Covid Infection Survey – the largest community surveillance study of SARS-CoV-2 in the world. |

Konstantinos Kamnitsas is a co-Director of the CDT. He is an Associate Professor of Engineering Science (Medical Imaging) at the Department of Engineering of the University of Oxford, and Non-Tutorial Fellow at Wolfson College. His research focuses on Machine-Learning (ML) and primarily deep neural networks for medical image analysis. The main goals of his work are to develop reliable, transparent and accountable AI models for safe use in healthcare and empower radiologists, clinicians and researchers with intelligent ML-based tools to better address their research questions and needs of clinical workflows. |

Jasmina Panovska-Griffiths is a co-director of the CDT and Senior Research Fellow in Modelling Infectious Diseases for Policy at The Pandemic Sciences Institute and a Lecturer in Probability and Statistics at The Queen's College. She leads a modelling group across PSI and the UK Health Security Agency that utilises mathematical and statistical modelling to respond to current and emerging questions in infectious disease epidemiology and public health. |
