Software Data Engineer

Samantha is a Data Engineer working on NHS cancer data. They have been working in the Big Data Institute (BDI) with various research teams and collaborators since 2022 and now work with Jim Davies and Eva Morris. Samantha previously worked in the Oxford-Novartis collaboration on Multiple Sclerosis clinical trial data. 

Samantha completed their PhD in Clinical Informatics in 2022 focused on autoimmune inflammatory diseases and the impact on people. This work covered the development of ontologies, semantic similarity via embedding models, and machine learning unsupervised clustering of blood biomarkers with mapped qualitative questionnaire data.
