Mudith is a medical doctor and aspiring surgeon from Sydney, Australia who, before coming to Oxford, worked in both the public hospital system and at a large Australian digital health start-up.

Mudith's vision is to fuse fundamental understanding in both medicine and machine learning to build scalable and clinically meaningful solutions that democratise healthcare. He hopes that the life lessons learned from his career as an elite pole vaulter will help him see this vision through.

Outside of medicine, Mudith co-founded Ethical Education, a charity that connects volunteer tutors with means-tested students across Australia. He is also part of the founding team of Project Planet, a not-for-profit building a digital platform to educate society about the challenges and opportunities for ambitious climate action.

Mudith has also completed an MSc in Applied Digital Health at Oxford.
