Lucy Greenwood

CDT student

Lucy completed an integrated master’s in Mathematics at the University of Oxford, with her final year project focusing on the dynamics of self-propelled cells in different background flows. She then completed an MSc in Modelling for Global Health, also at the University of Oxford, with a placement project at the National University of Singapore.

Lucy spent two months researching transmission of Japanese Encephalitis and the potential impact of different vaccination regimes in humans and pigs, whilst also exploring nearby countries. During her time abroad, Lucy attended a modelling and policy conference in Indonesia, where I was a teaching assistant on a team introducing modelling to public health officials from the Asia-Pacific region.

Over the course of her DPhil, Lucy hopes to continue to research improvements in accessibility in healthcare.
