Harriet Longley

CDT Student

I grew up in Newcastle upon Tyne and completed my bachelors degree in Mathematics at the University of Bath in the summer of 2020. As part of my degree, I spent a year at Eli Lilly & Company as a computational statistician, where I worked on observational studies and late phase trials, predominantly in diabetes.  During the year,  I worked on projects for integrating Real World Evidence into the drug development process and co-authored a paper on a meta-analysis of Rheumatoid Arthritis trials. Following this, I completed a research internship with my university where I investigated the design of a cluster randomised clinical trial for an algorithm to select treatment pathways for Type II Diabetes patients.

Outside of academia, I am an avid reader and a keen, albeit slow, runner. I also love to cook and bake!
