Mudith is a medical doctor from Sydney, Australia who before coming to Oxford worked both as a junior doctor focussing on neurosurgery and at a large Australian digital health startup helping to develop an asynchronous text-based telemedicine platform. He completed an MSc in Applied Digital Health in his first year at Oxford and is currently working towards a DPhil in Engineering Science based in the Computational Health Informatics Lab. His vision is to continue to fuse fundamental understanding in both medicine and machine learning to build scalable and clinically meaningful solutions in healthcare.

Outside medicine, Mudith spent many years competing as an elite pole vaulter in track and field. He also co-founded and runs Ethical Education, a charity that connects volunteer tutors with means-tested students across Australia. Mudith's other passions include trail running in the mountains, DIY projects and photography.
