Beth Lyne
DPhil Student
Beth is a DPhil student in population health within the SchistoTrack Group. She is supervised by Associate Professor Goylette Chami and Professor Sarah Lewington. Her doctoral research focuses on the multimorbidity of schistosomiasis and Alcohol Use Disorder (AUD), and the associated liver pathologies.
Before joining the group, Beth completed a BSc in Chemistry, Biological and Medicinal Chemistry at the University of York. She also completed a Master’s in Public Health at the same institution, where her research project was on transmission factors for Kaposi’s Sarcoma-Associated Herpesvirus (KSHV) in rural Ugandan populations.
