Saadiyah Mayet

CDT Student

I am a South African student funded by Health Data Research UK (HDRUK). I did my undergraduate degree in Mathematical Statistics, and my Masters in Advanced Analytics, covering a range of topics in statistics and machine learning. In the years before starting my DPhil, I worked in infectious disease modelling in South Africa. I was part of the research group supporting the government through the COVID-19 pandemic. Aside from decision support, I am interested in any high impact health-related work in sub-Saharan Africa. In my spare time, I enjoy being outdoors, reading, and debating.
