Farhad Hatami

Postdoctoral Researcher in Statistical Machine Learning

Farhad is a postdoctoral researcher in Biostatistics with expertise in machine learning, longitudinal modelling, and precision medicine. He joined Tom Nichols' team in October 2020, where he is working on developing and applying statistical/machine learning methods for the characterization of early disease progression and continuum. He has been previously a postdoc in Biostatistics at Lancaster University, working on developing machine learning models for high-dimensional data to detect the latent subgroups within heterogeneous neurodegenerative diseases. Farhad received his Ph.D. in Mathematics from the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB) in 2018, where he was predominantly focusing on the optimization of traffic congestion problems applying ML techniques.
